I Cavalieri in America
NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AND DELIVERY
We are proud to have been able to produce I Cavalieri in America, a book devoted to the many outstanding personalities who have received decorations from the Italian Republic over the years. This group of people constitutes an important and highly-qualified segment of the North American population, and deserves to be honored and recognized.
A great number of these “Cavalieri” have held or are still holding important positions in American society, both in the United States or in Canada, and, independently from their nationalities, are bonded by a common interest for Italy that makes them exceptional Italian ambassadors to the two North American countries.
In creating this book, we wish to emphasize their roles and achievements, as well as to introduce them, as a group, to a larger number of people in Italy, Canada and the United States, and thus contribute to an improved knowledge and understanding of their role and presence.
The preparation of this book has required a significant amount of time, work and research. We would like to thank everyone who has helped in this endeavor.
Lastly, we wish to congratulate all the “Cavalieri” for their past and future accomplishments, and hope that I Cavalieri in America will be a valuable contribution to all of them for years to come.

About I Cavalieri in America:
I Cavalieri in America is a volume prepared by the American Society of the Italian Legions of Merit dedicated to the Society’s members and other decorated personalities living in the United States or Canada. The President of the Italian Republic, Hon. Sergio Mattarella, who is also the head of all chivalric orders, provided a welcome message
In addition to outlining the mission of ASILM, the main purpose of I Cavalieri in America is to contribute public knowledge about all the Society’s members who received their decorations from the Italian Republic for their outstanding accomplishments.
Ultimately, the book pays homage to decorated personalities by highlighting their influential roles in American society and in furthering relations between Italy and the U.S.; it also includes information on different chivalric orders, as well as messages from important personalities.
For this special project, one page in color is dedicated to each personality who received his/her decoration from the Italian Republic and lives in the United States or in Canada.
The book is in English.
The first advance copy of I Cavalieri in America was presented to some of the most important Italian officials by an ASILM delegation during the Society’s VIP trip to Italy in June 2015.
